Role overview

Kirby Hardwood is expanding across Houston’s premier neighborhoods, and we’re looking for a driven, motivated Sales Representative who thrives on learning fast, pursuing opportunities, and building relationships. Skill, ambition, and adaptability matter more than years of experience. This role blends in‑home consultations, bidding across multiple channels, and confident communication with homeowners, designers, and builders.

Responsibilities

• Pursue bids across multiple channels — bidding platforms, GC portals, networking groups, onsite visits, cold outreach, and relationship‑based referrals.

• Conduct on‑site consultations to assess flooring needs, measure spaces, and document project details accurately.

• Educate clients on hardwood species, engineered options, finishes, installation methods, and maintenance expectations.

• Prepare and present estimates using company pricing standards and Jobber workflows.

• Navigate digital tools quickly including Jobber, MailChimp, bidding software, and CRM-style systems.

• Follow up with leads promptly to maintain a high close rate and strong client experience.

• Build relationships with homeowners, realtors, designers, and contractors in high‑end Houston markets.

• Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth project handoff, scheduling, and communication.

• Represent the brand with professionalism, punctuality, and a service‑first mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong internal drive, ambition, and willingness to learn quickly.

• Motivation and skill valued more than experience — ideal for a recent college graduate with strong communication and tech fluency.

• Ability to learn flooring products, installation basics, and industry terminology.

• Confident speaking with high‑expectation clients in upscale neighborhoods.

• Comfortable measuring spaces and documenting project details.

• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple leads and bids simultaneously.

• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation for site visits.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
